I live in deep South Texas where the weather has one temperature and it's HOT! I actually live with my mom (I know,
don't say it), where we have a dog ranch. It would be nice if we had cattle, but dogs are nice. Well, some of them anyway.
Actually, I think we collect dogs...anyone want some dogs? We've got cats too. Want some cats?
So, if you find yourselves wandering around aimlessly in a little town called George West, stop by! Each year George
West holds StoryFest. Which technically means that George Westerners are a bunch of liars. (Just kidding) Actually, it is
a pretty neat event. Storytellers from all over stop by and tell stories all day long on three different stages in the town
square. There are also a lot of food booths and craft vendors. There is even a street dance after hours!

Besides my two jobs, I do own a small, used bookstore called Treat Your Shelf. Though, most people call it "Treat Your
Self". Drives me nuts. Anyway, I think I might call it Betty's Books later...just to avoid confusion. My mom, Rosie, and I
also have a sweets shoppe. She named it The Sweet Tooth. Though, most people around these parts don't understand what it is.
